“I don’t bloody know! But I’m ‘avin’ a chat with Nelson about what ‘e puts in ‘is beer!”
“Look, calm down. You can always have your coat altered. And think ‘ow terrified people will be if coppers suddenly start flyin’. It’s a big advantage over us walkers.”
“Tyler…”
“Yes?”
“They’re pink.”

“Today’s trope is curtain fic.”
“Look, I didn’t mind the alien one and the alpha/omega was quite fun.”
“For you, might have known I’d end up as the bloody omega.”
“Then there was the one with wings. That was okay once I’d stopped shutting my wings in the Cortina’s door.”
“High school was horrendous.”
“It was your fault for answering the teacher back.”
“You didn’t have to laugh. My backside hurt like hell.”
“I rubbed it better later.”
“Yeah, and as I said, today we buy curtains.”

Admiral Samuel Tyler had both hoped and dreaded to meet Hunt. Hoped, because there was quite a sum his man's head by now; dreaded because he had heard blood-curling stories about the man.
“Either you join me crew, or go join 'em sharks down there.”
At sword-point, injured and exhausted from a long sea battle finally lost, Sam yielded.

Sam panted, “Well as you’re here, d’you think you could do it a bit harder?"
Gene did it a bit harder.
"That good enough for you, Doris?"
"Yeah, that’s good".
Time passed. Gene pushed, Sam panted.
Eventually matters reached a conclusion and they lay back quietly.
"So - if you don’t normally do this, Gene; why did you?"
"Aliens, Sam. Aliens made me do it."
"So, nothing to do with the fourteen whiskies and my new trousers, then?"
"Nothing to do with that at all, Sam."
