That is not the cliffhanger I wanted for my birthday! You are cruel, you hear me?

So Stu had a daughter? That would be the only thing to get Gene to leave. Great job.

Sam collapsed his head on the pillowless bed as Ray stepped up beside him. “You,” he stared at Ray, panting heavily, “are a bastard.”

“Course I am. Now, tell us what you know.”

ARGH! I hate it every time you end a chapter. Fantastic, as always. And finally some answers - yay for answers!

“You,” he stared at Ray, panting heavily, “are a bastard.”

“Course I am. Now, tell us what you know.”

Oh yes, that's the Ray and Sam we know and love XD

If I could write this thing in one go, with no cliffhangers, I'd do it. Unfortunately, I'm not yet a reclusive millionaire. (Yet! I tell you. Yet!)

Thank you!

AAAAARGH!!!!! What are you doing to Sam?!?!?!?!?????

You know what, you actually have me guessing if maybe Sam is at least a little bit crazy. I mean why else would he still be seeing the evil, very evil test card girl? As Sam mentioned, there was not even a tv near by. Hm?

>You know what, you actually have me guessing if maybe Sam is at least a little bit crazy.

Errm... of course he's a little bit crazy. He's been a little bit crazy almost since the beginning of the show... Seriously, was there ever any doubt about that? o.O

The question is just whether his particular kind of craziness can/should be treated by measures as drastic as the ones here depicted.

@dak: Ouch. - You know, I'm currently writing a thesis about a comic called Finder. The comic is set in a far future that has mostly forgotten about our present, let alone earlier times - but the people of that future have a strange obsession with randomly resurrecting certain, isolated aspects of past cultures. So, in medicine, they have a fad called 'modern medievalism'. ECT kind of reminds me of that. The author of the comic says, about 'modern medievalism', that the line between punishment and cure gets kind of blurred there...

Finder looks really interesting. It must be awesome do to a thesis on that. (I once got to write a paper on Doctor Who for a television history class. The class was crap but the paper was fun to research.)

Thank you!

God damn, how terrible that therapy is...I'm pleased that Ray is witnessing it, maybe it will crack his armor a bit more about Sam's terrifying situation.

And I see TCG is still 'in the picture.' grrrrr

Incredible plot development! It makes sense...up to a point. But I am TOTALLY convinced that Gene would not go under the radar for that reason alone. He'd just walk in and GRAB the girl and shoot anyone who tried to stop him, if it was all as simple was you've presented it here. Nope. Gene is looking for something bigger than just that girl. Stu? Or maybe he thinks the girl is HIS? And this somehow links back to Sam, who I am pretty sure is leaving a lot of the story OUT.

....me? Suspicious? Nah.

FANTASTIC chapter!

Personally, I'd never want electroshock. It just really doesn't look like fun. Doing it to others however...

*readies basement*

Would I really not make things simple? I'm sure Sam would have told them everything he remembers. Of course, he is having his brain electrocuted, at the moment...

Thank you!

*whimper*

Oh, god, but that's a terrible thing for Ray to witness, yet at the same time I'm damn glad he did because he really needs to know what Sam's been up against here. And Morgan?!? It's the same thing, really - quite horrifying to know he played a role in Sam's breakdown but good to know it wasn't necessarily down to something that Sam did of his own crazy accord. Gah.

It's a killer chapter, but of course I'm just desperate for more now *waits impatiently*

I did feel the ECT was something Ray needed to witness just so he could understand what Sam was going through. It's one thing to know about it and hear about it, it's another to actually witness it.

Thank you!
