Sharpe's Justice

Mar 19, 2006 20:06

Because nobody should have to watch this episode of Sharpe, although it wasn't quite as bad as I remembered it. If you want them, take them *g*

Note for the faint hearted... lets just say PG doesn't look that well by the end of it. There is however running and eyelashes and armed bastards before that bit though. ( The screencaps )

*gasp* Yay! I knew I'd seen him before and I couldn't quite remember where. I LOVE Sharpe. Infact, I own the dvds and I watched that one not so long ago, (not the best one, that one) and I still didn't notice it was Philip Glenister! Haha! I'll have to point this out to my sister. Mmm Sean Bean mmm *ahem* Anyway thanks for posting this!

Some of the speeches they gave the poor bloke, sheesh. It's just scary. But there is always the pretty to distract. ;)

I'm probably about the only person on this planet who is actually quite fond of Sharpe's Justice, but yeah, Philip Glenister has admittedly had better roles than that one. ;) I especially liked him in the BBC's 1998 adaptation of Vanity Fair before I ever saw Life on Mars.

Vanity Fair is in my rewatch pile... but I'm trying to draw it out ;)

Sharpe's Justice just seemed full of cliche to me, but it does have the one redeeming feature.

Well, I hadn't expected anything else from the show. ;)

But are you sure that you don't want to rewatch Vanity Fair at once? It's that good, isn't it? And I'm really impressed by Philip Glenister's versatility as an actor now. William Dobbin and Gene Hunt are so hugely different rules, and yet he handles them in an equally convincing manner. Just ... wow.

Oh I want to rewatch it at once. But I'm trying not to due to the whole its October until the boxset with the extras on it thing. He's good in Clocking Off as well. Actually he's just rather good really. ;)

OMG! Have to admit *sorry about this* not into these sort of costumey adventury things and have a particular aversion to Sean Bean, so have not seen Philip in this as was put off.

But dear God! How pretty was he? The eyelashes! The lips! The splooshing about in rivers! Now am half-tempted to get the DVD.
