Last week my boss told me that I was wasted at my work and should be looking for a better job.

I probably would have preferred an offer for a pay rise, but I guess knowing that he thinks I am too good for them is just as satisfying.

Sort of.

(I do appreciate his honesty, at least I know that he would never exploit me.)
