Better late than never, I suppose.
I am very surprised that nobody waxes!
1) Total number of books owned: More than I can count, or remember
2) The last book I bought: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
3) The last book I read: A nerdy book actually, about designing without tables with CSS
4) 5 books that mean a lot to me:
- Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. The copy I have is the illustrated hardcover version. My mum's sister gave it to me when they came to visit from the US when I was 12, I thought it was a very delicate present coming from someone who did not know me very well. I'd never read it before - and I loved it.
- The Magic Faraway Tree Series by Enid Blyton. They're actually three books. I spent most of my childhood inside them. When I want to make the world go away, I read them.
- Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. I don't know. It makes me feel less alone.
- Under the Mountain by Maurice Gee. My sixth grade teacher read this to us, and it made the biggest impression on me, it freaked me out and I wasn't living in New Zealand back then. I think about it a lot.
- Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood. Inspirational in so many ways.
