The program at his college is so great and useful compared to the comp sci dept where I went. His concentration is software development and all of his classes are actually useful to him at work. He found out he is 10 classes from getting his US bach degree (he went to college in canada. Their system at that time was very different from ours. He did 1 year of college while in High school and then he went on for another 3 years but it was a polytech college so his classes were 100% in his major with no fluff. So now he needs take mostly liberal arts courses but he is planning on getting his post-grad cert in Database Development. His job is mostly Oracle and java based. The products he works on are for the most part DB based.
