We spent a few days in Maine last weekend ...I know I saw none of you but it was a business visit not much pleasure time.... It was kind of sad to see how much my old hometown has gone downhill. There were several abandoned buildings. On the other hand lewiston is booming!
I stopped by the college. It was really nice to go there. I loved going to college there and it looks even better lately w/ all of the new buildings.
I ran into my old boss and it was so nice to know that they remembered me (and my entire extended family!) I didn't see gail! I am still very bitter about that whole situation. What a crappy advisor/boss/friend she was during a time when she should have been very helpful. Actually she alienated a whole boatload of us. Its too bad b/c I will never donate $$ to that school just because of her. Maybe to the interpretive dance troupe in her honor :0) just b/c that would annoy her.
Anyway I hope to make it up in a few weeks when the kid is out of school to see everyone.
Vinh is going for his oracle developer certification. He already does it at work but it would be nice if he was certified.
Nothing much going on except for I'm working a lot lately, gardening, reading and house hunting ..which is futile at the moment. Trying to find something reasonable in a town we like.. is like finding dim sum in maine.. impossible Vinh wants to move to Asian central and I want to live near my parents. The two towns are over an hour apart and a difference of 150k in price... quite the problem. Live in a handyman special on the ocean or a nice big house smack dab in the middle of vinh's idea of food heaven? ..for someone so skinny food really plays the dealbreaker in most of his decisions...
