Memory comes when memory's old I am never the first to know

Fever Ray - Keep the Streets Empty for Me

Memory comes when memory's old
I am never the first to know
Following the stream up North
Where do people like us float

There is room in my lap
For bruises, asses, hand claps
I will never disappear
For forever I'll be here

Whispering
Morning, keep the streets empty for me

I'm laying down eating snow
My fur is hot, my tongue is cold
On a bed of spider web
I think of how to change myself

A lot of hope in a one man tent
There's no room for innocence
So take me home before the storm
Velvet mites will keep us warm

Whispering
Morning, keep the streets empty for me

Uncover our heads and reveal our souls
We were hungry before we were born

Friday

Cooked the laver bread I had brought in Wales. I made it in to cakes the mix that i made it with was some diced onion some oats and bread crumbs. Once they were squidged in to patties I floured them and shallow fried them while frying some bacon and mushrooms in the another pan.

The flavour was great cooked like this Mum said they tasted just like she had when she was little. I had a long bath while listening to music as Mum and Bob finished their breakfasts.

A quick cup of coffee and then dog was walked. The sky was overcast grey there was nothing very pretty to take pictures of so I just walked and thought.

Home and made some music while watching Enter The Void. Think it may be reflected in this track.

Alarm bells by phonographicoceans

Two wireless linked Nintendo DS units running Korg DS 10 with a arpeggiated accompaniment from a Micro Korg XL

Then I watched Akira and cooked a beetroot risoto with mushrooms. Pretty odd thing but very nice with a stir of yogurt swirled through it. A few less beetroot next time as their flavor overpowered the stock a bit.

Mum and i then made some corflake cakes like you have when you are a little kid.

Then i snuck away up stairs to read and listen to some classical music. I later on sat back and watched a film, it was so crap that I don't remember the name and deleted the thing.

Saturday

Up at about eight and dog sorting as there was no there choice than get up as the picture shows. He was laying right on top of my whole body.

So first off I went shopping with Mum round Lidl and also nipped to Kennelgate for dog food. I walked back through town center Bletchley to find some mothers day bits. Bletchley is odd, it has the run down feel to the place. Like everything has made a half arsed attempt at doing something good, sighed, and then given up. Did find a nice fish stall on a stretch of the market and brought some fat tuna steaks. Expensive but i think they will be worth it.

Home and we shot off to walk the dog and as Mum is part of the campaign for real ale she has to deliver some leaflets to her local pubs. We got to the first pub an area called the three locks. Why...because there are three locks.

We walked along and saw reviews and the dog walked about along the canal side. he is quite ok with locks and going over them he even trys to jump on the boats. Think he wants to be a boat dog. I should buy a barge. Saw some rare flowers, these are called Violias.

Home and we are going to make some freezer food up old frozen leftovers that need eating up.

Before chipping off for the evening I spent some time wrapping my Mums present for mothers day. I added the stars and glitter my self...*proud face*

Shot over to Colin and Kats place after eating on my little bike. It had started to rain so I arrived hot and damp. Louis and Jordan were there so we got to catch up. Had a few drinks there chatted about life the universe and everything. I decided not to stay due to it being mothers day the following day. So in a drunk stupor I cycled home. This was quite fun but dangerous.

Sunday

Opened my eyes expecting the worse but turns out no monsters hid behind my eyes and all that remained was a slight head ache from the previous nights indiscretions. Firstly I walked the dog round a bit of park and then to the local shop and picked up some coffee and brioche for breakfast. Mom and I ate these lovely treats while watching song 1960s Dr Who.

Lunch time i made up the tuna. I had marinated it all day and it smelled great. The marinade was just soy, rice wine and garlic. Before pan frying the steaks i put pushed them in to some ground black pepper to give them their final seasoning. Served it on a bed of noodles which had cashew nuts and coriander stired through it, with a squeeze of lemon juice to finish it off.

This was one the best meals I have ever made. Very simple favours not to many ingredients. Bob and the dog were pratting about and I took this sweet snap of the two of them.

I set about watching some more Dr Who and finished the Dalek invasion of earth story line. We all then helped Mum bake a new cake thing from her new cook book. This sounds like its not a very mothers day type thing, cooking that is. Surely Mum would like to relax but no. Mum likes to cook and her new book had excited her and it was great fun to create. The end result was great too.

I spent the rest of the day weighing up the pros and cons of buying my little brothers Ipad. It does have some really impressive applications on the device that really would rock to have in my sound arsenal. I also sat and browsed my bros hard drive and grabbed some content from him. A few films and some music too.

Also played with the time lapse function on my video camera, Got some ideas of getting some shots of the sky and things and doing some nice music for that.

Monday

First day back to work and I managed to get out of bed with no trouble. Despite being on holiday I had been getting up at a reasonable time anyway and filling my day with things. The ride in and tickets were easy enough to buy no queue despite it being Monday. Work is the same as ever nothing new. Not even new phones to play with. Everyone here is the same no change in people that I can see. I need to get back to finding little projects to work on while at work. What I can work on I have no idea really. The day finished fast and efficiently got back in the swing of selling things.

The days are so much brighter, its nice not to be commuting in the dark now. I plan to walk the dog some where possibly and also to make either web page or music this evening. I am in the mood more for the former as I really want to listen to some music.

When i got in for some reason I was in a bit of a foul mood,my brain provided me with no thorough explanation of why it was being a shit so I had dinner two helpings of cake and a load of tea. Those combined with knuckling down to make some progress on the web page mangaed to cheer me up. I've now finished the blurbs and links for my music section. I did this as I watched the second part of Dirk Gently on iPlayer. Then I read some more of Atlas Shrugged, it gets better and better.

Also started to learn a new piece of software called Sun Vox. Its a paid for app on Android and handsets but for any non app based device it is free. I am testing it first to see how good it is before paying for the phone app. Its a powerfully bit of kit. Modular in operation with sequences to create your song or loops.

Tuesday

I got up early and let the hound go about his business. Dressing gown bound and cups of tea. I got on to enjoying myself straight away. Playing some more with Sun Vox this time utilizing its midi support function. Toby also joined in.

Also spent some time trying to find a semi decent free non illegal video editor download. I have tried many different ones. But have settled for now with - Pinnacle Video Spin. Out of the dozens I tried this seems to have the easiest interface. It does not support photo insertion as far as I can see but for my needs it is ideal.

Bob and I ate a cheese ham and mushroom omlett and then got on with jobs around the house. I made use of his tripod and the time lapse function on my F70. The videos were quite funny but not upload worthy.

After playing for some time, I went to Tesco shopping. I mentally prepared myself for this ordeal by putting on super pleasant and loud music. Its so odd I am usually quite good with shopping, just that branch gives me the fear some thing chronic. I made it out safe with no murder occuring.

Bob and I then walked the dog out to the lake and in to a forest area where there were lots of lily tiny mushrooms. We also found a neat little clearing on top of a small mound near the lake that had not had humans in it for a long while and it was too close to the road side be useful for homeless folks.

Back at home and made Mum some lunch and chatted for a bit while we were sat in the sunshine. I then helped Bob light some of his metal work for photos. He is taking pics of his pewter sculpture and jewelry in preparation for an interview at Brighton uni.

After helping light and be assistant wall proper-up-er for the photos. I finished writing the story board for my short film project. Will start getting footage next week steal bobs tripod. Bob is going to be helping film also.

I spent the evening cooking for the family as they were at the hospital getting Bobs brain scanned. I made a parsnip and potato grattin with onions garlic and creme fraiche, along side this I fried off some garlic and shredded cabbage. The meat was just some smoked mackerel fillets.

Before going to sleep I watched Wall-e which I had never seen before. It was very sweet and cute. A very Disney film with a dystopian element to it which was odd.

Wednesday

Up and round the block with the hound. Got home and realised my hair is a state, too long, and needs coloring. I can do the color but I hate having to pay for hair cuts. To scared to cut it myself anymore not even my undercut.

Played Skyrim in the evening for the first time in ages. Did a bit more of the non mission caves and passes. Getting better some how even though I have not played in ages. Also git my hair done, its black instead of blue-black. Its odd.

Thursday

Much colder this morning really needed my jacket. Mum has chipped off to Belgium for a few days so Bob and I have the house to ourselves.

We made a hearty meal for tea when I got home from work. We were going to make pizza but we had run out of bread for dough. We made the same topping sauce but we put it on over bake pre-made baguettes. The sauce was a basic tomato sauce but with smoked bacon lardons in it also. We then topped this with stringy mozzarella and fresh cut basil.

Friday

The morning I got up really early to walk the hound round the park. It was super foggy and so the park was proper Silent Hill spooky.

Work was a busy blur and we did really well meaning we are good for our target this month. This always puts people in a good mood. They day got all hectic towards the end and I got quite flustered.

I got home and needed to chill out so I cooked while Bob washed up. We work well as a team. Bob had frosted some venison stake and we decided to have this with butter grilled mushrooms, pasta and our new invented plum and red onion sauce. This took some tweaking to perfect but we managed it. Handsome it was too.

Saturday

Upon waking up I made a lunch to take to work of left over pasta and salad. Walked along the canal with the hound in thick silent fog. Cold and damp on my skin but some how i find it comforting. Then we were off to the station to take Toby over to the Plum. She picked him up from the station and we walked up the hill chatting.

Working outside half the day in the sun and chilly breeze left me feeling wind blasted and a little worn. I turned down offers of invitations to three different gatherings/parties as I was so exhausted.

Brought some cans and some Baileys for my brother on the way home. We cooked up a very weird but cool meal. We made our own baked beans from cannellini beans onions honey and balsalmic vinegar. We then lined a uptake tin with bacon and cracked eggs in to these bacon cases. (note: make sure you butter the tin well or you will be in trouble!) They came out like this and tasted brilliant. A posh fried breakfast.

Bob and I proceeded to get a little tipsy and watch cartoons. Sample Billy and Mandy and time stretch and pitch shift it all in to an unrecognizable noise that made us giggle until we could not breathe.

Sunday

Woke up early even with losing an hour. The walk to work was cold and bright and quite relaxing. Again working outside in the shade and I was freezing. At the end of the day I collected Toby from Plum and had a cup of tea with her on the balcony of her flat. Had a little chat about life and learned some of her world.

The walk from the station was hellish. The sun was in my eyes all the way and it was now boiling hot. The train was rammed but nice people were on it like Ian and Mary. Toby wanted treats from them but settled for a fuss.

Finally in the house and ordered a Chinese spent load brought 10 dishes I think. Mum arrived just as the Chinese did, along with Ellie and we ate. After I opened a can of cider and sat with Mum going through her pictures from Belgium. It looks lovely especially Gent and Bruges.

This was day love of working so most people get to stop and have tomorrow off. Not me. Oh no two more days working this week until i get some time off.

Again ages between blogs due to long shifts at work and my brain being fried pretty hard over the last week.  This is being written on Monday evening as this is the first chance I have had to get on my computer.

I don't understand people very well some times. I find their thoughts and feelings so alien. How people behave and move through their little worlds. I love to enjoy a moment and invest my time and energy in that action. However I don't live for there fleeting moments I have an idea of moving forward. These are steps on the way to this future but they are not the sole aim. Has every one stopped dreaming?
