if i acted strangely

ok, i left off at the naked boys. as sad as i am to leave them, it must be done.

saturday morning beth and i decided that i needed to see some mountains. it hadn't been done, so we grabbed ben and lo and set off towards boulder.

exit for boulder

lo drove.

and she drove with the windows down. it was a nice experience.

look! the football field!

as we got closer, you could see the mountains more and it was the weirdest experience ever. i'm used to oh, not seeing mountains wherever i am. so i took photos like a mad woman.

we could see rain clouds far off and we were all convinced that it was going to rain on us, but it really didn't. made for some cool pictures, though.

i don't know how many of you have been to the mountains, but it's amazing. pictures really can't describe it. they're all around you and you feel so bitty. it's like "finally, some piece of land left alone!"

we drove up the side of the mountain and lo, ben, and beth found a spot to go bouldering, which is climbing without crap to keep you up. i was not an experienced climber, so me trying would be kind of a joke.

large rock

more of beth and i

while beth and i were taking the previous picture, ben and lo climbed up already.

treeeeees

beth finding an easier way to climb up

i couldn't get as high as everyone else, but the view from the rocks i could conquer were still fucking amazing.

ben was wearing a really awesome hat. and a cool shirt, too! it said "everyone is born right handed, only the greatest overcome it!" and i wanted it sooooooooo badly!

we left that part of the mountian and went to another rock that was impossible to climb, so of course i documented lo attempting.

oh yeah, and beth.

drove to another part after that and it was soooooo pretty and up much higher than before. we were almost two miles up! (well, from sea level)

ben and lo had no trouble climbing up that thing

lo did drop her chalk and took it out on the rock

i found a waaaaay easier way to climb up by the hiking route. the view was annoyingly amazing.

please watch that video of people climbing- no, RUNNING- up that side of a mountain. very impressive. ben won, but lo was right along with him. kind of.

we got back around 6, beth and i took a nap and just barely managed to get food from the cafeteria. beth and friends were going to be drinking, so i decided to try a little. after not eating much, i took three shots total (spaced out over a while) and had some crackers and wine so beth could call us "adults". i was a little tipsy, but i remember absolutely everything and was not uncomfortable by any means. beth was kiiind of gone, but i watched her back. ben walked us to a party were beth and i decided we didn't want to stay, so another one of her friends drove us home in a jeep. not the like grand cherokee kind, like full on jeep with no doors, no ceiling, just those bars where you have to jump in to sit in the back. i was soooo fucking jealous, let me tell you. i wanted that car. anyway, once back to campus, we hung out in ben's room because his t.v. is big and we wanted to watch freaks and geeks and call it a night. but before we got to do that, ben and lo came in kind of trashed. ben was way worse than lo was, so we had to deal with him for a while.

beth and i went back to her room and found The Best Thing Ever on her roomie's desk:

a condom that was witty!

i took random photos

more random photos

we finally went to sleep and awoke with her roommate naaaaaked.

totally saw lots of titties, as liz was STILL drunk and waved them around. that was...special.

the next morning i had to take off, and i really didn't want to leave. my trip was AWESOME.

now i have to go eat lunch with kchase's bf, marc, and erica. that will be fun. woooo! oooh, i am hoooooooooooongray!
