put me in, coach

sooooooooo fiiiiiiiiinally i have time to post pictures. i know you're all excited. i just know it. i'll start over from the beginning (though the beginning will have less detail) so it can feel like all of you were there.

oooook so there are like 10 thousand pictures to post. probably i'll have to do it in more than one post or no one will sit there long enough to read it. we'll see. probably i won't.

so, on my trip to

this was what i first saw:

on the way to beth's school from the airport. it was veery flat and i was a little upset because to be honest, i kind of expected like bookoos of mountains. i got that later, but not right away.

beth's room was adorable. i wanted it. the whole back wall was windows! so much natural light!

on like thursday, beth, her friend leora and i took a tour of the campus. it was so frickin' pretty. it was built in like 1864 and some of the buildings were just that old i believe.

they had waterfalls that were nice and not horrible.

and a really old church that had like a long waiting list to get married in there.

here is the mary reed building, it's one of the most haunted, probably THE most, in denver. beth like googled this. it used to be a library but someone killed themselves in it or something and now it's like offices and such. (edit: apparently it's not the most haunted. there are like 45 buildings that are haunted on her campus, it's hard to catch up. read her comment at the bottom.)

the hospitality building. pineapples are a sign of hospitality. wooooooo

friday night, we went to the rockies game. i bought a light rail ticket (all of 1 dollar and 50 cants, but still!) and when the rail came, it was waaaay too full to even try to get on. it was hilarious because lo, leora, beth and i ran from door to door looking for spots and no one could find room and you could tell the people on the train were like "sorry" because they looked pretty uncomfortable, as some children had to resort to sitting on the stairs, there was so little room. it was greaaaat.

so we had to park downtown, but we found a not-so-sketch parking lot for three dollars and walked to the park.

(oh my fucking god. it was over 80 degrees in the house today and i was sweating and really uncomfortable so i switched it to 70 and dad just came home and was like "it's perfectly comfortable at 78. it's very nice in here" and i was like "uhhhh you weren't here in the heat of the middle of the day" and he goes "close your blinds" when the blinds WERE closed and it was still SO HOT IN HERE. like, sorry we live in texas and it's HOT. good lord. now i have to go set the fucking table. at least dinner will taste good, even though i might pass out from the heat to eat much.)

ok, back from setting the table. i set that shit in about 3 minutes. go me.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyway:
that was a church in the middle of downtown. supposevely it's like super old but it's beautiful. there's another "church" in downtown that was actually turned into a nightclub. i have to go there one day because it's just so ridiculous.

we entered the home of the good ole' rockies. they suck.

this is what beth and i look like. huh? yeah?

we had bought tickets at the grocery store and the cashier got us a good deal because she loved us for some reason and so we got amaaaaaaazing seat. we faced the sun setting and saw a really great sunset and i couldn't stop taking pictures of the sky.

and the players. sitting in front of us were some grown men that acted like they were oh, you know about 8 years old. there was a kansas city royale outfielder that was kiiiind of close to us and his last name was "teahen". normal, right? nothing interesting about that, yeah? well, being 8 years old, one of the guys started yelling at him "hey mr. 24! (that was his number) hey! hey!" like he was trying to get his attention or something. i'm not eeeeeeeven sure why because that guy is paid a hell of a lot to pay attention to the game, so i think he's not going to listen to a dumb drunk guy in the stands. anyway, the 8 year old -oh, sorry,- the grown man started calling teahen "teabag". fuuuuuuuuny. oh i just fell out of my chair laughing. if you don't know what tea bagging is, check it out on urban dictionary. i had to explain it to lo, leora and beth. anyway, he said this the eeeeeeennntire game and it really was a pain in the ass.

but speaking of names, we all really liked this guy's name.

as the sun was completely setting, a cloud moved behind a foul pole and it looked like a giant cross.

and once we started losing in the 8th inning, fans rallied and that meant taking off shirts apparently and these boys gladly obliged.

yeah, i'm gonna leave the rockies for tomorrow. rockies as in the actual mountains. wooo!
