I went to the theatre to see Woman in Black which was simply marvellous.

I had a very civilised Scampi Extravaganza with Unusual Guru Wilbur.

It's been rather a busy couple of weeks really. It never rains but it pours, that sort of thing. Especially in Manchester.

Mr W and I finally got to go and see Tim Minchin (squeeeeee!), and he was very fabulous indeed. Very, very fabulous. Being an avid fan of Flanders & Swann, I dragged twig_wonderkid and Mr W to see At the Drop of a Hippopotamus at The Lowry. It was flippin' studpendous, and we had many a giggle and there was much singing along. Mr W even got to give a solo standing ovation as Tim FitzHigham did the Hippopotamus chorus in Welsh. Last night I went to see my chum Josh Johnston playing to a full house Knutsford. He was with a violinist and a double-bassist, and it was really rather marvellous. I'd forgotten just how entertaining his "stories" are too - he had the audience in fits!
