Scene: 3 year old girl waddles up to me in a fairy costume at work
Me: Wow, are you a fairy? Do you have magical superpowers?
Her: ....No
Me: No super powers? Why not?
Her: *thinks for a moment*....because girls don't have super powers, only boys do.
Me: Honey, that's not true at all! Where did you learn that?
Her: *thinks again*....I learned it on television.
Me: The TV lies. That's the problem with television, a lot of times they make up lies. Girls have lots of super powers. Some of them are secret.
Her: Some girls have super powers?
Me: Definitely!
Her: Well....some do and some don't.
