Weekend
Lots of stuff happened this weekend. :)
Saturday was Poe's company picknick. We went down to Newport beach and went on a Segway Tour of the area. It was a blast! A lot more fun than I could have expected it to be. We road the segways down the board Waly and then throught the neighborhood. The Tour guide had all kinds of cool sorites about the people who built and owned the various houses. And other interesting history of the area.
Segways are FUN! I freaked out at first, tyring to "Balance" on the segway. But once I relaxed and let it do the work it was very instinctive. They say the average learning time is about 40 seconds.... and that was about right. Your feet get tired though.
I was amused that most days I ride a machine that lets me walk without moving (e-pod) and that day I was riding a machine that let me move without walking. If I had a practical reason to use a segway I would definitely get one. But I have none and I would not get one just to /have/. But the ocasional beach tour would be nice. (It lets you easly double or triple the area you could cover on foot.)
Buy the time we got home Justin was done moving for the day. So I rested a bit and got ready for our Iron Kingdoms table top game that evening. :)
