Our dear friend Rachelle left for Canada last August 29th. And so, on August 27th, just 2 nights before she left, we had a dinner at Pat's house. Dinner was salad, potato, fried chicken, and mushrooms while dessert was brownies Pat (
pat452) and I made before Rache and Ys (
waterbaby13) arrived. Of course, the bowls of chips and little plates of chocolate were in the living room for us to munch on before and after dinner. It was an eventful and intimate gathering (only Pat, Ys, Rache, and I were there) which ended up in a sleepover for me and Ys after Rache's parents picked her up. It is with heavy hearts that we saw Rache go as she has always been there for us, being our good friend from high school. Below are the pictures from that sad yet memorable night.

Pat joined us in the pictures. We were serious at first (as evident in the left photo), but then, you know, Pat just had to let out her goofy (or is it goony?) self.

At Alabang Country Club before the no-slippers policy came into effect. We invited Rache but she was busy packing. =(
It is always sad to say goodbye. But I am happy that my dear friend Rache will get to pursue her dreams in Canada. As I type this entry, she is now back at the place where she was born, studying at her dream art school.
We are a close-knit group of high school friends. We have already seen friends leave in the past. I am thankful we got to give Rache a proper send-off. It is sad and hard to see our numbers diminish. =(
