Tried to post this last week
I never would have guessed that being sick was such a part of parenthood. I'd assumed that I had met my requisite number of illnesses in my 1st few years of teaching. Sadly I was wrong. I have been sick more often in more different ways in the past 6 months than I think I had been in many previous years.
Three weeks ago, I went out to eat with my book club and ate something that disagreed with me. My midnight illness left me so wretched that I was waking Philip up to feed him inbetween bouts just so that I could be certain he was fed. Now I seem to have some sort of nasal thing that just won't leave. I don't feel sick, but am so congested I can use up a Kleenex box in about a day, so say nothing of the cough that accompanies all of this drainage.
Thankfully Philip doesn't seem to have acquired whatever this is, which I'm beginning to suspect is more allergies than cold.
