Writer's Block: When I Was Young
It's funny. I most miss being able to spend so much time just playing and reading. I say this is funny, because I in fact still have a lot of time to play and read, both for myself and with Philip. So I guess what I really miss is the freedom of playing without actually having other things stewing in the background of my mind. I miss being completely focused on the playing without worrying about the weeds growing out back or wondering if I should be cleaning bathrooms in between the cleaning service visits or packing for vacations in my head or any of the other countless things that take up space in my mind nowadays. They impinge on my playtime, making me less mindful of my book, my son, or whatever I'm trying to focus in on at any given moment.
