I've been working on a Strike Witches costume, after giving in and actually watching the entire first season of the anime.

There will be a group at Dragon*Con this year, and oddly enough since it's a WWII centered universe, most of this costume could just come out of the closet...but since we have a hard time leaving well enough alone, or doing ( Read more... )

I just barely got mine wearable for D*C 2010. Only by sewing most of Thursday and Friday at the con did I get this far...

I'll be fixing it and fixing the issues with cpt_antilles maroon monster over the months between the wedding and April. I seriously thought this costume would break me. These patterns are awful... but in the end this photo makes me excited ( Read more... )

Sew on side of sleeves together, check to make sure you have a right and a left. (Mark them!!!)

The neck pattern piece is sometimes not quite long enough by the time you quilt and get it on the shirt. Lengthen by 1 inch. When quilting neck and arms stitch each line down twice for a more pronounced groove ( Read more... )
