no sewing done last night. just ceramics. i finally stuck handles on two pieces that have been sitting around for close to three months, and threw two large-ish pieces that I'm hoping will be pitchers. it's amazing how much easier it is to throw large pieces with a fresh bag of clay. must remember this the next time i can't seem to get the damn ( Read more... )

It's been a slow day. I've been working, but feel like the day's going by more quickly than it should, considering how much I've gotten done. I woke up ridiculously early and worked on carving my ceramics while waiting for my hot cereal to cook, and for JoAnn's to open:

got lazy last night, so no work on the overskirt. I threw three bowls at ceramics class though. Yay for bowls! I'm still not good enough to decide ahead of time what my lump of clay is going to be at the end, but I'm getting better at rescuing my pieces from near-disaster ( Read more... )
