It seems like more of the same to me, but if it's what lit a fire under Harry Reid, I'm not complaining.

I think the GOP has gotten so adept at spin since Watergate, it almost doesn't matter if we have clear proof of how corrupt they are anymore.
*sigh*

Yeah. But the momentum has shifted since last summer, when all Conyers could get was a basement room and a mic to talk about the DSM. And what made Reid call a closed session this week, when he wasn't involved back then? It could be a matter of impatience, anger, and frustration on Reid and Schumer and Durbin's parts. It could be that they chose their moment, both to get the attention back on the pre-war fraud after Alito's nomination, and because of Bush's plummeting approval ratings.
But it could also be they got something new, something that represented a smoking gun to them. Remember, they were lied to even more than the rest of us, in terms of classified lies they were told behind closed doors. I mean, weren't they told something like Saddam had missiles that could reach the Eastern seaboard in 45 minutes or something? Anyway. I just wouldn't be surprised if something like this ( ... )

Wilkerson also told National Public Radio that Cheney's office ran an "alternate national security staff" that spied on and undermined the president's formal National Security Council.
He said National Security Council staff stopped sending e-mails when they found out Cheney's staff members were reading their messages.
?!
Ok, first of all, shouldn't the National SECURITY Council have, I dunno, secure email? Second of all, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cheney was on their little email loops. So which is it? Do they not have secure email, or did Cheney or someone else with legitimate access share them with others? Either way, it stinks to high heaven.

You know what's great about living where I do (Westchester County, NY)? Bill and Hillary Clinton leaves me recorded messages to tell me who to vote for for District Attorney and County Clerk. There's a reason the Clintons are so successful - they keep an eye on the little things of politics.
