WHAT THE FUCK?!? First off, I have to point out the obvious - Clint Black is a wealthy, pampered superstar, not a soldier. Him going around calling himself a GI Joe is ridiculous. As far as I can tell, he's never served in the military a day in his life. (BTW, did you know he's not even really from Texas? He's from NEW JERSEY.)
Second, and this should be painfully obvious to ANYONE WITH A BRAIN, but Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. Besides, he was deposed over 2 years ago, so why is Clint still using that as a motive for us fighting this war? Helloooooooo, is anyone home?
Third, that whole "if you don't [fill in the blank] you hate freedom/the troops" bullshit is so fucking tired. This country was founded on the concept of free speech and political protest, asshat. Read a history book! God, read anything, you ignorant fuck.
I'm sorry for bitching about this again, but it's just painful for me to see how Country music has gotten highjacked by the Bush administration. It didn't used to be like this, you know. Loretta Lynn sang about divorce and birth control back in the day! And I have to reiterate, not all country singers are on board with the Clear Channel and the RNC Agenda - Toby Keith is a Democrat (seriously!) and so is Tim McGraw.
