I hate Gretchen Wilson. Like, HAAAAAAAAAAAATE. You know, that irrational, all-consuming, blinding HATRED that's normally reserved for the likes of hypocritical preachers, Rush Limbaugh and Hillary Clinton? That's how much I hate her. I just cannot stand the woman.
Why does she have to act so goddamned ignorant? Look, y'all - I grew up poor in a trailer in the country too. I'm not ashamed of it, but I don't go around fucking bragging about it.
I also used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. Again, NOT SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT. Why are you going to write a song about how cool your cancer habit is, and how the taste of it on your man "turns you on"? In the 1950's, it would have been cool. Now, it's IGNORANT and makes you look retarded.
I'm amused that the Tennessee Attorney General is going to sue Wilson for glamorizing and breaking that 1998 tobaco settlement. Of course, I'm sure Wilson is going to complain that the government isn't letting her be "politically UNcorrect". Not politically incorrect, politically uncorrect!!! It's different!!!
