On a seperate note, Kos hit on one of my pet peeves earlier tonight, Hillary bashing.
Look, there isn't a single person that has suffered worse at the hands of the Right Wing Noise Machine and the Corporate Media. She has borne the brunt of attacks that would've shriveled up lesser humans. She has had to deal with personal problems in a public way that would've driven most of us underground.
Yet not only has she parried aside those savage attacks, but she has grown and thrived. That is worthy of respect. She is on the front lines against our enemies and doesn't deserve to be ravaged by her own side. She doesn't go on Fox News to attack fellow Democrats, like some of the others do.
[...continued] So disagree with actions X, Y, or Z if you must. But the vitriol sent her way here rivals that dished out by the Freepers. She doesn't deserve it, and I wish those people would chill. She's not the enemy.

I should have a big warning on this journal, for anyone who didn't already know this: There is to be no bashing of the Hillary within these hollowed grounds. Aka don't fuck with my girl. I know a most of my conservative friends despise her, and quite a few of my liberal friends do as well. That's cool, everyone's allowed to have their own opinions on their own journals, etc. But not here! The way I get all protective and personalize everything with the Buffy character is nothing compared to the way I get about Hillary. I don't know what it is... I just have a lot of respect for the woman and think it's really fucked up what she had to deal with. To deal with constant personal attacks for so many years, and still come out on top? That's the kinda person I wanna be.
Btw, If people are looking to do character assasinations, I'd suggest the overmedicated, overbotoxed Stepford Wife we have in the White House right now. Seriously, I'm frightened of her. What the hell is she on, xanax-enriched valiums?
As far as 2008... I'm not sure Hillary will be ready by then, but like Kos said she's far from my last choice. We could do a hell of a lot worse.
