I thank the judges, that have recently taken so much fire as being 'activist', when in fact, they were just doing their job, preventing unconstitutional laws from taking effect. Terry Schaivo, Nebraska anti-gay amendment, and the newest one, a provision in the Patriot Act concerning your ISP.
Unfortunately, this Tyranny of the Bush administration knows no bounds, as they attempt to simply bypass judicial review for this particular provision. That's right, they are trying to write in a measure to just do what they want to do, and so there will be no checks, no balances on their power.
I can only hope this will not pass the senate. I can only hope that the fear that drove the patriot act into existence has subsided enough to prevent even more damage to our rights as citizens.
http://www.wired.com/news/privacy/0,1848,67674,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_7 Listen to me, government, I'm NOT scared of terrorists, you aren't doing this for me, you aren't doing this for most people. This is simply another means of spying on people with the intent to control the general populace. Think about how such information will be used by the GOP in 08. They will know where you go and what you do while on the internet, because the ISPs will have to hand over the records, they can compile statistics that show what appeals to people by prying into their personal information, tailoring every ad to the highest statistical concerns and activities.
The Bush admin is easily the most corrupt and tyrannical government we have ever had the misfortune of electing.
