I tend to make a lot of posts complaining about things and then be shocked when people find them and rant at me about my opinions. And yeah, recently I've noticed I'm not the only one

I’m sorry that people are giving you hard times about the opinions you are absolutely entitled to have. On your personal LJ, no less.
Gah. I don’t know what is wrong with some people, but you don’t deserve any of that. Unfortunately, I don’t know what to tell you or how to help (because The Stupid Plague has no cure as of yet), I just hope you don’t have to experience that anymore.
You are such a sweetheart. It wasn't directed at anyone in particular, though! It's actually more started off by events in someone else's personal LJ. But it reminded me. XD Some of my RL friends joke about it and say I'm like a magnet for people looking to be outraged by something.
Usually I'm pretty good-humored about it. ♥ It's just frustrating when you're dealing with people who expect you to treat your LJ like a public forum~.
“Sweetheart”? Me? Nahhhhh… Thank you for that, though.
I haven’t experienced much of personal attacks on my own LJ, though, so I wouldn’t really know. It just annoys me that some people would do that to others. It’s like, who died and made them Dictator on What the World Should Think and Feel?
But, anyways, how are you doing? kay_willow told me that you’ve been really busy lately, so I’m glad to see you on LJ again. :D
I just find it horribly amusing that crazy people come to you like heat-seeking missiles. On posts that are perfectly reasonable, articulate, and relatively drama-free. Yeah, they're strongly worded opinions, but nothing too far out.
Whereas the rest of us can make posts that are pretty much dramafests (Abortion! Religion! Politics!) and not one troll.
It's so true. (Hate-seeking missiles? XD It seems more appropriate.) I know some of what I say is a little startling, and I especially know that I may have crossed a line with my ToD rant -- I don't usually include usernames when I'm complaining about things. :\ Bleh.
But still. I can't believe someone took the time to send me, like, three paragraphs of rant "correcting" me and then finished by saying my opinion didn't matter. I totally agree -- it doesn't! -- but didn't you validate it a whole lot by deigning to respond? I guarantee I'm not the only one who's irritated by an OOC character on the board, does it really ruin your whole experience to know about it?
Either don't let it bug you, or, if you think a complaint about characterization has some merit (however poorly-phrased), think about what you might've said or done to prompt that kind of reaction. But of course people have a right to complain. XD
Who the hell does things like this? I'd offer my sympathy, but I'm too busy boggling over what kind of person would feel such ~*righteous indignation*~ over a fandom-related post that they'd feel okay with attacking someone in their personal journal.
It's pretty impressive, it's true. And I mean, if I say something you totally feel outraged about (e.g., when I was on about the re-release of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the PS2 making, IMHO, Larxene/Axel less plausible), well, you can argue! Even though I don't think there's any real point to yelling at me, you can do that too! XD
But to act like I don't have the right to babble about whatever I want re: fandom? That's over the line a little! :\
Oh, bb, I can feel ur pain. :( I personally never understood those types of people. True, they're sometimes just trolls just trying to start trouble for the sake of getting reactions, but when they're serious, you have to wonder if they have nothing else better to do with their time. o.o
It's really weird, I don't know. XD One in particular commented on several entries, ALWAYS about Axel/Larxene. (Which, damn it, I totally thought was awesome until I realized, like, all the 'shippers were crazy, and so all the 'fic was awful. D: I don't know, it's like the 'ship is a RETIREMENT HOME for anyone bitter about Axel/Roxas. A, and I like both.)
And it's true. As maladaptive pointed out above, weirdly, her posts that touch on RL controversial issues actually seem to upset fewer people than my careless comments about a pairing. :\
It truly is disturbing. :[ Why do people take fandoms so seriously? WHY?! These are the people who sit at their computers and type up a storm about why A x B is better than B x C, but can't be bothered to leave their houses to vote. It's so troublesome. :(
It's a pretty clear message: fandom>>>real life. :[

Yeah, that's... a little special. But then, I've never understood the "how dare you express opinions I don't 100% agree with?!?!11" mindset.
