Hooboy, it's been hot lately! Too hot.
I'm now working in London, and it was *not fun* going on the Underground in this heat. Also, even if it was a tolerable kind of dry heat outside, the Underground would always be much hotter, with added humidity. So by the time I got home every day it would be time for a cold shower, a cold drink and loose, airy clothing.
The evenings have been uneventful. I get home usually after 6pm and by then I'm feeling tired and lethargic, so usually it's been a case of crashing out with a book or in front of the computer to play Final Fantasy VII.
Having seen Advent Children a while back and having regretted not playing the game before seeing it, I got my hands on a PC copy and am now enjoying myself immensely running around fighting baddies and following Sephiroth's trail with Cloud Strife et al. Sure, the graphics and music may be dated, but that doesn't stop it from being a truly awesome game even by today's standards.
I was looking for FFVII art on
deviantART (I invariably search on there for fanart and stuff when I'm into something) and found
this, done by a cosplayer who seems to have made the perfect Aeris Gainsborough outfit and pulled it all off - even the hair!! (Psst - there are more Aeris costume pics in her gallery!)
Some of the people on deviantART are so talented. It's a great site because it gives people the chance to show off any kind of art - like costume making. It's good that things like that can be appreciated and respected as a form of art on a website that gives the chance for those things to be displayed.
As for my own art - I feel inspired to do fanart and one-off drawings at the moment. Not much on the comic front, but I'll take that as it comes.
