When we first moved, we talked about pets. The management of the trailer park we moved into insists that cats and dogs are not allowed... no skin off my teeth with the dogs. I like them, but they're too noisy and WAY too much work. Mom had a major objection to cats. Dont ask me why, we've had many in our lives and she loved every one of them

We have this cat. Her name is Mittens. Little black and white female..less than 10 lbs. Sweet, sassy, affectionate and loveable. I Often think she is/has been the best thing in my life...by far...for the past year or 2 (sad, isn't it?). She loooooves to sit on my lap/next to me. And will do so every evening, if allowed, on our couch or big oversized chair.
She is my sassy, little love-cat. And she loooves her daddy. :)
The irony is....I am allergic to her...although I have noticed a real improvement in my allergies to her, SINCE we got her.
So, I guess you could say, at least I get some pussy....just not always the kind i need. :D

I dont much care though. I love animals. I have enough allergies that I always have SOME sinus issues because of them, so adding an animal doesnt really make a huge difference. And prolongued and constant exposure to an animal you are allergic to WILL have a tendency to reduce your allergic reaction by building tolerance levels.

P.P.S. Yes, I do have some limited acquired immunity to my cats. However, if I'm starting an allergy attack, they can push me over the edge into sneezing oblivion.

If you read the post this is attached to, you understand the need for a cat. We're actually planning to get two, so they can keep each other company during the day when no one is home. I'd like them to be close in age, and they need to be compatible... so we're looking at the assorted pounds in the area for pre-matched pairs of cats who get along well.
Thank you for the thought though. If there was someone home during the day to keep the cat company, I'd be happy to get just one.
