Omg, I am having SO MANY WORLD OF WARCRAFT FLASHBACKS.

Oh the stories I could tell of bad groups. Everything from being asked to be the tank in the group WHILST I AM A ROGUE to doing orange quests wherein the lowest level person in the group (ALWAYS A PALADIN TOO OMG) runs ahead and AGGROES EVERYTHING THEN PROMPTLY DIES RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REST OF US WHO ARE REGENERATING AND WHATNOT SO THEN WE HAVE TO FIGHT LIKE FIVE ELITES WHILE WE'RE AT HALF HP and we all die and then he whines and whines whilst we are fighting and dying and then corpse running about why no one has rezzed him. Omg. In fact, my entire guild was founded on Khadgar around the concept of being awesome to group with.

I really wanted to try Guild Wars but never got around to it. I know I should do something besides pay for WoW and never play it, though.

OMG, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THIS STUPID GUY WAS DOING. Except for the corpse part, but he was basically doing the Guild Wars version of that. He was the lowest level out of all of us and he just kept running ahead! grrr ( ... )

Like when Doyle runs the car into the gates in ep 1, and you totally expect them to give way, because the music is all heroic, and then clang and nothing. Oh, and when Angel does the big flying leap into his car, only it's the wrong car!

I love those moments! So hilarious. I actually only started working my way through Angel (better late than never, I say) so I've only seen the first 4 or 5 eps so far. I'm working through so many shows right now though (thank you, Netflix) that it may take me a while to get through the whole series. Plus that whole "being in graduate school" thing takes up way too much of my precious time which should instead be spent watching DVDs. :)

If you've only seen the first few eps, we can discuss as we go through them! I haven't watched the first few seasons since they were on TV so I don't remember much of it. I'll have all these random things to say about the eps, but most people I know either don't watch Angel at all or are total Joss-addicts who can quote every episode. So it'll be nice to talk to someone without them going "wait until you get to this episode where Angel does this and Cordelia does that" etc.

What else are you catching up on? I wish we had something like Netflix in Australia, because it sounds really handy.

That darn graduate school! :) I know what you mean: it takes up far too much time that could be better spent on other things. I've gotten to the point in my phd where nearly everyone I know is saying to me "So how's your phd going". I think that means it's time for me to get a move on and finish it! :)

Disc 2 of Angel S1 will be waiting for me with all the rest of my mail when I get back home, so I'll have more to comment on after that! I've been kinda jumping around between several shows on my Netflix queue, but I may start watching one at a time so that my brain doesn't feel overloaded trying to remember the details of all of them at the same time. Lately I've also been renting Six Feet Under (recently finished S3), Sopranos (still on S1), Buffy (about to start S5), and Scrubs (I missed a lot of the early episodes), and I have tons of other shows in my queue like Sports Night, Once and Again, Rescue Me, and every other show ever made that I think I might enjoy. It's also fun to be nostalgic and rent stuff like Doogie Howser and the original Degrassi series. And sometimes I throw some movies in there, too. :) So overall I have over 350 discs in my queue - and it just keeps growing as more things are released ( ... )
