This morning, the sun is struggling out, and the sodden landscape steams gently. In places the mist thus created is so dense as to become downright eerie. My office has now reached a more-or-less comfortable temperature. It has taken since yesterday morning to achieve this. The kitchen and bog are like the Arctic.

The Management keep coming up to ask me things, because my room is warmer than theirs.

We went to Ikea this afternoon, and it was not a hideously unpleasant experience.
