Now I'm seriously annoyed . . .

As you may have guessed from yesterday's entry, I am now trying to update a few of my fanfiction website accounts, namely ff.net, aff.net, and ao3.org. Slow going process because I'm still working on things I want to add. I think, at this point, I may just keep working on the stuff I want to add and f--- updating until I can get a better connection. It isn't that we don't have "high speed" internet, it's now that the "high speed" internet is connected to a router so not only is my computer connected to the internet, but my sister's computer and her laptop (which is used by my mom and stepdad as well), my brother's computer, and Uncle Mike's computer, rendering our "high speed" internet not so high speed anymore.

That in and of itself isn't the annoyance. It's trying to update the story or add the story, and, "Oh! You can't do that now. Connection timed out on you. You just now lost your author's notes you were typing up because you're posting to this site, and this site doesn't have a save feature for you" . . . I've been trying to add a new chapter to Destinies Intertwined by Fate to ao3 since YESTERDAY!! It keeps telling me the first actual chapter is still a saved draft, and I keep telling it to post! It could be that it's a bit long, but I haven't heard of any length restrictions for chapters at ao3 so I don't know if this is something on ao3's end or if it's because my connection's being a pain in the ass that ao3 isn't posting the blasted thing.

I'm seriously considering going back on hiatus from posting just so I can focus on writing. :P This is just frustrating. If the connection's going to be this much of a pain for fanfiction, what's it going to be like for original material? Now THAT has me really annoyed and worried.
