Getting political for a moment.

Yes, it's that time once again, my dear friends.  It's election year.

Now is the time when people are deciding (or have already decided) which candidates they intend to vote for.  Most people, in my opinion, are probably going to let the TV ads influence them, something that is the norm anymore and relatively acceptable.  It's just how it is.

I, however, am not decided on anything as far as the presidential candidates are concerned.  Neither Obama or McCain have really impressed me with their ads.  Yes, for the most part, Obama has run some rather positive ads, trying to convey the message he has some good ideas, but he still takes swipes at McCain.  McCain, in my opinion, has not run a single ad with hints about his energy or tax plans.  If anything, it's just a mud-slinging contest with him, and I'm not very impressed by that.  If anything, I find it annoying, and I wish I could live with the television off until Thanksgiving.  Then again, if I did that, I'd miss the season premieres of House and CSI.  Ah, the torture!!  Why must they do this?!!

Anyway, I've decided I'm going to look at things from a different perspective as far as voting goes.  Both candidates have websites that should detail their tax and energy plans.  That's what's going to sell me.  Not this smear campaign you're seeing on TV or who they've chosen for their V.P. candidate.  If you go there, McCain does NOT have my vote simply because there's something I don't like about Sarah Palin.  It isn't because she's a forceful woman or anything, either.  There's just something about her I don't like, and I can't explain it.  Chalk it up to meeting someone and you want to like this person because (s)he seems really, really nice.  Yet, you can't like this person for some reason.

Yeah.  You can call me crazy at any time.  I'll agree with you wholeheartedly!!  ^_^

In other news, I've been rather busy the last three days.  We've seen a small decrease in the number of employees at the Wendy's I work at and therefore has given me an extra day for the beginning of the pay period.  Good for the pay check. Bad for the writing.  Why isn't anyone pestering me about that?  -goes to poke paganpoet  over such details-

yah yah, politics, life, ramblings
