2 years at Target
Today was my 2nd anniversary at Target. When I applied for the job I swore to myself it wouldn't last more than a month or two. After my 90 day review I figured I might as well go for the insurance so go 6 months, get checked out and move on but I would NOT hit the one year mark. I did and while a part of me was disapointed another part was proud because I had never sayed at a job for so long. Now here I am 2 years later and while not in love with my job I have come to see it as where I need to be right now. I might mumble and dread going to work, but the truth is all and all the actual cashiering part I have fun with for the most part. I like the guests and I work with some decent folks. I hate making $8.33/hr though. Do I get a raise at my annual review?!
I don't want to hit 3 years at Target. I have my education and am an exam away from being a certified addictions counselor so that is where I would like to see my life in one year. If by some change I do see my 3rd year with this company, I want it to be me in a higher possition than cashier.
