I am working 40 hours this week. (Sarcastic) yay!
I am bored. Jake is out for a little while and I am sitting at home eating corn bread and watching TV. I get in foul moods when I know he is actually awake and I don't get to see him. Most of the time he is grumpy and tired or I'm grumpy or tired. It makes for a fun relationship. I savor the hours where we are both 75% awake. It's a rarity. Needless to say, since Jake has been scheduled 9 days in a row and I am working 40 hours this week, we're both grumpy and tired. I saw him last night, for an hour then we both passed out. Score. Tonight was my lone chance for "QT" because tomorrow and Sunday he opens. This means that he will either fall asleep at 8 o'clock or take a nap. He doesn't wake up from said naps, making them more like slumbers or short comas. This relationship is a lot of work.
Work also kind of fucked me over with their new handbook. I can't bring my laptop, do anything on my cell phone or eat lunch at my desk. AWESOME. I guess I can deal with it. I read a lot and they pay 10.25 an hr to do very little work.
ON THE READING FRONT: I just finished "I Was Told There Would Be Cake" by Sloane Crosley. It was a great book, one of my new favorites. It's a collection of essays written by a female twenty something living in New York City. The stories are funny and kind of remind me of myself. Quirky and fun.
