G-Dragon's "Shine A Light" Concert Album
Oh my, I just had to listen to this album in one sitting, no pauses, no breaks. It was so fun; I SOOOoooo wish I could have been there. The audience screaming, G-Dragon bringing it and all the guests... Wow. I must--I repeat, I MUST, find some videos of this show so I can see how the stage was setup and the actual performance... Although I'm an alt-rock girl at heart, I love how Asian pop bands totally get into the performance aspect of live shows; it's almost like a mini drama or string of "in-person" music videos. For example, all the fake rain @ one of the Big Bang shows (a nice little, unofficial Taeyang wet T-shirt contest...). They definitely embrace the theater possibilities of a live show. :)
Funny little aside: I knew I recognized the title "Shine A Light" from somewhere... It's the title of the Martin Scorsese documentary about The Stones! Coincidence? Humm... Although I can't really picture it in my virtual ear, I think a mash-up between The Stones & G-Dragon could be awesome... Since their styles are so different; though, it could be a challenge...
