i'm ending where i started

I started my life in California at 617 Cassidy Ct, Travis AFB, CA. **Yes, I remember the exact address**
From there I moved to 3700 Lyon Rd, Rolling Oaks APTS, Apt 133, Fairfield, CA. Again, yes I remember exact address.
I loved both places. Both had beautiful scenery and I donno... I guess there's just something so different a/b living some place vs. visiting a place. When Earl & Jamie moved from Rolling Oaks to The Pointe and then from The Pointe to this house, it stopped being home and just a place to visit. California is still wonderful to me, but it isn't where I live (or my home for that matter) no matter how much I try to make it so.
I will end the past 2 years of my California life on base again, in the base hotel (there's some term for it but I can't remember) starting Thursday night sometime. The AF is coming to take Earl & Jamie's stuff away (and possibly mine too if no one finds my CD player!) Thursday or Friday. Packing it up Thurs, and haulin it off to Alaska either that day or the next.
I have to admit, it's hard to not cry. It's like the serious final chapter of this amazing 2 year adventure (well, off and on). The possibility of going to visit California is coming to an end indefinitely.
Sure, Ed & Frances will still be here but no telling for how much longer. They're trying to get a recruting job in Arizona. And yeah Tommy will be here but I'm just not sure how I will explain to Daddy that I'm going to stay w/Tommy (even though he lives w/his parents).
It is hard to imagine, seriously imagine, my family not living in California anymore. It is even harder to imagine them moving farther away from me. Taking my baby girl & boy, 2 of the 4 most precious beings in my life, away so far. To an icy cold tundra. Where at this time of the year, it's light out for a/b 3 hours of a 24 hour day!
I will miss California. I will miss the busieness of it. I will miss being literally 5 minutes away from EVERYTHING! I will miss wondering if I might turn around and see someone I just happen to know **most unlikely but I did see Tiffany G. in the hospital the other day**
I know I'm strong enough to get through this. But I can't promise I'll show it.
This past week & 1/2 has been amazing! Today Jayden & Keaton & I danced and sang "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts while the video was on (b/c the music video has scenes from Cars and Jayden LOVES Cars).
I love holding Keaton close.
Sunday we opened family gifts and then went to Frances & Ed's house for dinner. That was hella fun. They actually got me something! It was cute too! :) It's an outfit!
Then that night more people came over for a small get together and we had margaritas (and I actually liked them) and just chilled.
Christmas Day we opened Santa... Jayden got her powerwheels Mustang! Then Corry & Tiffany came over. That was fun too, except I was rather bored for the majority of the morning.
We went back to Candy Cane Lane that night.
It sucks to think a/b leaving so I won't :)
