The Vancouver 2010 Olympics are over. The experience I will remember for a long time. Not for the games per say - but for the bringing together of so many people from all over the world. Moreover, I learned I can work for 25 hours while still being sane. Now, we have few more weeks left till the Para-Olympics are complete. The first picture on the left is the few I have in the morning in Whistler as I head down to work. A shuttle picks us up and heads south on highway 99 for 20 minutes to drop us off at the athletes village. The picture on the right is the typical security work group at Whistler. All the checkpoints are inside tents.
I spent the last day of the olympics in Vancouver celebrating with crowds of 150000 in downtown. It was like Canada Day on Steroids. I hope my brother took pictures - I was running around with a a superman cape with the Maple Leaf. The Punjabs had their drums. I really enjoyed their tunes. Vancouver is beautiful and I loved it!
