Random Journaling
This is a fairly random post with various bits and pieces :-)
Happy Mead-making Day to all -- Today I got 5 gallons of a Woodruff mead based on mesquite honey started, and helped with 5 other batches (including one with Prickly Pear fruits as the additive!). A wonderful time was had by all. A toast was raised to motogrrl in honor of her life (she would have been 46 this July 31) and the bottle of her Chili-pepper mead that has been aging in my cupboard for 11 years was opened and sipped from with enormous appreciation. I miss you Leigh Ann.
temve do you know rheasilvia? She apparently lives in Germany, and has a reply in the Fan Archive update post here.
Loving the new job, and swimming very hard indeed to keep my head above water. And wow, what a huge difference to one's self-image to be assumed to be competent and knowledgeable!
Tomorrow is my Last Shift at Safeway :-)

Wow, lots of Leos!
Been getting a smidge of writing done on a piece inspired by a prompt by and the writings of gryphonrhi and I hope that this continues -- it is so nice to have words flowing even slowly again. It has also been really nice to brainstorm some of this with jblum.
I have backed up this journal to my external harddrive with assitance from antennapedia who has written a clever archiving script for Macs, and took lori's advice and backed up everything I could think of on the laptop here to that drive as well. Will be looking into true external backups as well. Have made (or re-discovered :-)) backup/placeholder journals on GreatestJournal, InsaneJournal and JournalFen, all of them as Lferion. Added an entry to Fandom411 and The Directorium as well.
