Don't leave my hyper heart alone; on the water

HEY, REMEMBER HOW I USED TO POST? Yeah... Me neither. I'm guilty of being a total neglecting bitch to my flist and for that i apologize. I get bored with the internet awfully easy so LJ and i took some time apart. Tis all good now. Honky dory. Gravy.

I wanted to write about the concert i attended last night because it was positively, undoubtedly the best concert i have EVER been to and possibly nothing will ever top that feeling. That's why i want to remember it,  kinda make a virtual shrine of videos, pictures and words to relive it.

THE NATIONAL <3
It's actually their 3rd time touring in Zagreb and although I've been a fan since, idk... yonks ago, i only managed to see them yesterday. More than anything i regret missing the previous concerts because for both the band and the audience it was the best experience. The bond between them and my city is inexplicable and beautiful and although i have been to a lot of shows i have never witnessed anything like this, ever.  "We've had three of the best shows we've ever had with the band here."  So says Matt. <3

The love from last night is mutual, cos according to their twitter that was the best and loudest show of the tour so far. HELL YES!

I was freezing my arse off with a friend for roughly 2 hours, standing in a queue because we wanted to be in the first row, and dammit we were! Albeit not in the center but right in front of Aaron <3 and that was splendid enough. It's hard to describe the atmosphere because words fail me but it was such a positive rush of adrenaline, sense of mayhem and closeness at the same time it's unbelievable.

When we were singing to ~Daughters of the Soho Riots there were literally tears in mah eyes, i couldn't help it.
Matt, the singer and my future husband said that singing along like that only happens in Zagreb.
He was overwhelmed by it and so was the rest of the band.

The best part of concert for me was the encore when they played ~Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks acoustically with everyone singing along from the top of their lungs. It was extremely passionate and touching and i cried yet again. Well at least it's fitting, crying to crybaby geeks, eh?

Matt was amazing, so crazy and energetic and funny. He gave the girls in the first row champagne. TWICE. Almost fell off the stage. TWICE. Also when Aaron said he thought we could probably sing the song better than they could, Matt was like:
"Well, i dunno, i think i sing it pretty well though." <3 You do too, bb.

OH OH. Did i mention i caught the set-list as well?! As if the night couldn't get any better... Look at that precious scribbling they did! *swoons*

I have so. much. more fave stuff to post. Like i want to embed every single vid of every single song they played last night.
Even if the quality is crap and all you can hear is some dude screaming tunelessly. Still...
