Why, Michael? Why?
Being a member of the R.E.M. fanclub has never been something I'm embarrassed to admit, especially since they started doing the presale ticketing and reserved fanclub member seating to concerts. Last time they went on tour, I saw an amazing show from amazing seats at Red Rocks in CO. I'm gonna say it was the best concert I've ever seen, and that includes U2 and Indigo Girls in a very small college venue.
They're going on tour again (check remhq.com for general on-sale times and dates) and once again, are offering the presale thing to fanclub members. Great, right? Except they're doing it over the Internet this time around and - you guessed it - it's a total clusterfuck. I've been trying to buy tickets for four hours now, to no avail. Last time I actually got to the "what tickets do you want" page, though.
Also? $75 a head, plus a $7 charge on each ticket. Excusez-moi? Who do they think they are, the Rolling freakin' Stones? No, wait - I didn't mean that! I'm sorry Michael, I'd pay ANY price to see you. No, please don't - Shit. They kicked me off again.
