Our race went very oddly tonight.

We had our first race of the season on Thursday, which we won fairly handily despite a not-so-great start. It was an unusually long course that night, too, which meant we had to watch the marks pretty carefully. We went out to the boat today, to put up the mast. This is a somewhat tricky operation, involving a small crane arm, since the mast is 35' long. While we were lining the boat up under the crane, our partner M missed his step off the boat onto the island and fell.
