Roof!
After many weeks of waiting for the roofer to catch up with all the work thrown his way after storms, and for the shingles to come back into stock, the roof replacement started yesterday. The guys were at the house working from (probably) 8am until pretty much sundown (still pretty close to 9pm.) They have got to still be totally swamped to be putting in 12-hour days. They got all the shingles off the house and garage, repapered both, and got 90% of the new shingles up on the house yesterday, so I'm betting they will wrap up today in well under 12 hours. Yay for no more chimney! (Well, at least outside the roof. We have to deal with the bit inside the house ourselves.)
