This has a lot to do with why I haven't seen a movie in the theater in more than a year (two? three? I've lost track) or bothered to get many (any) new movies from Netflix.

Apparently Tim Powers' book On Stranger Tides has been optioned for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

On one hand, I quite like the book. On the other hand, I haven't been liking or wanting to see movies lately.
