Kickin' It . . . For the Third Time!
So this afternoon I took some of my textbook buyback money and my half day off and thought to myself "Hmm, how can I pass the time until I have to go to work?" And then the answer came to me. It was obvious . . . head down to the local theatre and see Kickin It Old Skool again!
Okay okay so I admit it probably seems pretty fannish of me to have seen this movie three times in one week. I haven't done that since Superman Returns came out, and I only saw that for the third time because I had a free ticket. But really- I just cannot resist Michael in this movie. I know that the movie itself is only kinda funny, (although I do love the Hispanic dude and Bobby Lee, and Darnell's girlfriend, as briefly as she is onscreen, cracks me up,) but the real star here is Michael. He just brings this irreverent kind of sharp-edged humor to the whole thing, and really, it's funny because as a Smallville fan, you see elements of Lex in Kip, like him going behind Jen's back and hiring Cole's crew- all the plotting he does is like a less effective version of Lex.
I really can't explain what has drawn me to sit through this movie three times and actually enjoy myself because really, Kip Unger is nothing new for us Michael fans. We've seen him before in characters like Jack Cooper and Colin (from It's Always Sunny in Phil.). It's just the way he plays it-- he just lights up the screen, I guess that's the only way I can explain it. I could watch him play like that for hours. And then of course there's the fact that he just looks amazingly hot, too. I was weirdly fixated on how pretty his eyes and eyelashes looked this time around. *facepalm*
So . . . yeah. Helplessly hooked on Michael Rosenbaum, folks. Am I totally weird, or does anyone feel this way about him, too?
