I loved how Kahlan lies to Dahlia “Do you think one day I’ll escape her?” “One day.” and hides her eyes. K is slightly insane pet but she is a realist nevertheless. "No, she doesn't. You would be a skeleton if she did." So true! Cara doesn’t hate Kahlan anymore, she hates that Dahlia loves Kahlan and she only wants to understand why her Dahlia loves such a worthless pet.

OMG Thanx :D!!! *sigh of relief* I know it was extremely intense and I dug extremely deep for each of them...so they better appreciate it lol. I gotta admit that I do feel kinda proud of this chapter partially because I shocked myself with some parts and revelations of it.
D/K are beautiful to me. They’re complicated in a rebellious and honest way and even I don’t fully understand them as much as I’d like to. They just do their own thing. Although I think Dahlia likes having this intense power and control over Kahlan (one that Cara can‘t match), she really does have fluffy feelings for her.
LOL you remembered my nightmare!! It was so vivid, I just knew I had to include it somewhere. I liked seeing Dahlia ultra vulnerable with Kahlan. I’m sure she used to be that way with Cara and misses it

Yep, D/K are beautiful! Dahlia is areal Mistress, she cares and loves her pet and she controls her 100%. Where Cara is kinda lousy and she doesn't care much and for her a life or death of a pet means nothing at all.
Of course I remember your nightmare! I always tend to dislike a vivid dreams, lol, for me they are sign of some inner trouble with falling addition it made me worried then. Still, you masterfully incorporated it into the fic! Also, I like an idea that Dahlia misses being vulnerable with Cara. I'm sure if she would dream it several years ago it would have been Snake on Cara's place and Cara-on Kahlan's.

:D I think you're so right about the difference between Cara and Dahlia as Mistresses. I was just thinking maybe Cara doesn't want any other "pet" besides Dahlia loving her and that's why she doesn't love them either. idk? I'll give it some more thought and probably touch upon in the next part

That's an excellent point! Cara doesn't want other pets! But I think she needs some. Cuz she demands from Mistress Dahlia too much. To be a pet and a Mistress, like, all the time. I think it's kinda exhausting for Dahlia. Yeah, very interesting thought. Especially knowing that Cara is far not a monogamous type of girl. Is it a laziness or she just doesn't care?
I feel all your heroes and heroines very much. They all are very impressive and full of life. Now I warming myself to Kahlan also, lol, I know, she is one of major heroine's but somehow I didn't like her occasionally (maybe cuz she was a cause of C/D trouble, lol, idk). That's why I like my bear! You create such vivid characters! When I think about them I want only DR's death, haha. I could let Snake live even she tortured my fav girls. I can forgive her. I think. Maybe.
Is it a laziness or she just doesn't care? I think, for the most part, she just doesn't care. I think she was able to invest her feelings, emotions, time and effort into one person and that's it. But now we'll see...

oh forgiveness for Snake...lol epic I know but I think I can forgive her and anyone basically who became evil not by the own choice. I am completely confident that some people choose to be bad and evil, they enjoy it better. But Snake was pushed into that kind of life and yes, she enjoys it now. But if she would be given a freedom tomorrow and would continue to do evil deeds then I will be merciless to her. Or she can find another job and I will spare her life without big moral pretenses.
