Benjamin, my Apple Support guy on this go-'round, pulled up the repair log on the MacBook to get the serial number, and he sounded thoroughly aghast at how extensive it's become. He even apologized, emphatically.
Which only made it worse for him when it turned out he wasn't able to help me fix whatever problem I'm currently having.
So, it's to the Apple store to meet with the Genusii this afternoon.
I sense another new hard drive in my future. Frankly, it may be the quickest, easiest thing - last time, they had a drive in-house and were able to install it within hours.
Of course, look how that's turned out.
Thank god this is happening before July, when the extended-care warranty runs out.
I'm gonna be pissed about any data loss, though. I know, I should have done more extensive backups. But come on. Six months, tops, since the drive was installed? And the computer's been in for other repairs in the interim? This is only slightly less ridiculous than the three logic boards and a hard drive I went through in two years with the iBook. It just doesn't seem as overwhelming because I've got an Apple Store two minutes away, now, instead of the closest one being 45 minutes away.
Walking EMP. I don't even know what it is I do.
