He had been looking forward to going home to spend time with Dawn, with his wife, and then it had started to snow. The flakes had come down so fast and thick that it put winters in Kansas to shame. And here it was the land of overly hot sun and water control not a bleak winter state.
But it meant he'd been trapped at the office. Lex's current car wasn't up to even a light flurry much less what was happening right now. It was a winter wonderland full of downed electronics and phone circuits. Crashes from people who had never seen snow outside of television and the movies were filling the hospitals and clogging the roads.
And Lex stood with his forhead leaning against the glass of his office watching the magic that was winter snow in LA and feeling like there was a stalking wolf at his back. He'd seen plenty of magical things in his life and every single one of them had turned out bad for his friends and family.
Lex wondered who this storm was a dark tiding for.
