Gently, she tugged on his hand and nodded to the bellhop who was finally allowed to make a hasty exit. "Have you ever been here before? It's gorgeous. Look at this view." Almost skipping to one of the side tables, she picked up a remote and made the blinds open.

Honestly, if there wasn't it would almost be enough to make her seriously consider a place like Metropolis. She loved New York. It was her home but a place with others like her that weren't subject to the mutant registry was pretty tempting. It could be like those circus people communities or the ones for little people. A whole city where they could just be themselves without persecution.
It was a good thing he couldn't read minds. Sitting there imagining some sort of mutant utopia. She had to be out of her mind.
"So what's first? Should I let you go so you can get cleaned up or is it something we can do as is?"

Blushing a little, she smiled up at him and gave his hands a squeeze. "You don't have to explain. I know you're a busy guy. I'm beyond flattered that you even invited me out here. I can't wait to here your news though. You look so excited."
"You don't have to thank me, Lex. You're my friend. At least a friend. Maybe... Well, I don't want to assume anything but I care about you. In a very short amount of time, you've grown to mean a lot to me. That's actually not as easy as you might think. I'm friendly enough but it's hard for me to trust people. I'm not going to quit on you now."

He knocked quietly on her door, adjusted his tie and stood readily awaiting. When she would answer, Lex would be seen in a casual formal light. A simple black suit from slacks to blazer and a smooth lavender chemise with a deeper black tie and lightly musked with mild fragrance-he was set. Lex held out to her a single yellow rose, the stem glossy and shaped with protruding leaves and a vibrant blossom.
“Are you ready then, Angel?” he inquired seeing that obviously she had been considering her stunning appearance.

The redhead let him lead the way as she got a bit girlie over her flower. "So where are we going? You know, you have the most loyal staff I've ever seen. I couldn't get anything out of anyone. It was a little frustrating actually. I hope I dressed okay."

"Oh my gosh" She whispered as her green eyes got huge. "Oh Lex..." The view was spectacular and it was possibly the most romantic setting she'd ever seen. Her gaze darted around unsure where to focus first. The decorations were incredible, the view took her breath away, but the music drew her attention to the violinist. It was a familiar tune that he played beautifully. Angel smiled and the man smiled back before Angel turned back to Lex hugging his arm.
"Everything is perfect. Thank you."
