My motorcycle, a.k.a. Slider, has had this really strange problem of late where the fuel pump wouldn't run and I couldn't find any reason why. I know the pump itself worked since it would pump nicely if I jumped it directly to the battery but for some reason the computer that was supposed to turn it on just wasn't despite all the inputs being

There must be some section of Reddit you could pose that (non-?)problem to, and see if anybody else can come up with a bright idea. (With, I imagine, the lead-in carefully, clearly worded, so you don't spend 3/4 of the comments explaining that you're aware of the requirements of electrical and electronic systems to a useful degree..) I'd love to see someone come up with a plausible explanation, although there may well - hopefully - be no way of testing the hypotheses.

Bonus: you could then use the tale as the world's most evil interview question.

Actually, I suppose you could anyway.. but you're far too nice to do that.
