I am perplexed at the irony of what you think would be interesting and what people do think is interesting. This weekend I've been sharing some doujinshi samples in tumblr. For most of them, there was at least the cover and one or a couple of samples. But for one Oofuri doujinshi, the content was too simple to scan a page from inside, there was no action, only a simple story about Sakaeguchi showing Suyama his secret cherry tree as a birthday present, a story as tooth-aching as (a little bit) boring (although in English it sounds more perverted now that I think of it...), so I settled for the cover alone. For a minute I debated with myself whether to share it at all. It seemed like a silly thing to do, to post just a cover and nothing from the inside. But well, the illustration was so nice, that I thought "Whatever!", maybe someone likes it as much as I do. And even bothered to scan it bigger, because I have been looking for hi-res versions of pics lately, for printing purposes, and know well that it is better to have a pic with good resolution than a meager 120 Kb of the old modem times. What's 300 Kb-600 Kb nowadays? Nothing! So there, I posted that cover alone, in between some other more detailed samples. And the following day, I see the notes, and guess which one was the most popular? - When I say popular I mean 20 notes vs 1 or 2, mind you. Yep. That lonely cover, without summary or anything. That's tumblr for you. And I sometimes forget that not everyone needs to see (gay) action for every doujinshi. Sometimes I forget there are people who love the innocent as well. I DO forget there are younger audiences that must have just recently graduated from shôjo into yaoi, being an older fujôshi myself. I should not forget.
