You disappear for a week and then there's lots to catch up with!

My desk, entertainment and motivational side. My old frankenstein computer with my old favorite games, all together at the same time at last (do you remember the time when you had to delete one to upload the next to the computer? I do!). I still need to catch up with King's Quest and finish Chrono Trigger, but I am way too addicted to Final Fantasy IX right now. Although Squall keeps ruling my desk. He and Tweek are, to me, motivational samples of bad behavioral patterns derived from stress and anxiety.

I also need to catch up with Gintama, but South Park is making that difficult. They both have a lot in common, though: the random crazy and dirty mouthed. And if you see Piccolo there, supporting just-fucked-by-Gintoki Hijikata, it's because that's a reminder that the last Gintama episode I watched was that Dragon Ball parody with the cigarrete maker. That was back in September, woah, time flies!

Today I started watching Giant Killing at breakfast and I liked it very much. Soccer series. Tomokazu Seki voicing a Osamu-ish coach. Ryotaro Okyayu voicing a Shin-ish team star, competing in running with a Sena-ish weaker-looking but faster player. I liked the premise and I'm definitely watching more. Thanks to iciak for the recc!

I am waiting to have a couple episodes more until I continue with the next Glee.

FFIX progress: Yesterday the four members of my party got married to each other in about two minutes. Before I could react or change my own mind, they were all married. WOAH. Relationships sure make fast progress here! (just kidding). And I got EIKO!! Her melody is one of my favorites of the soundtrack, together with Freya. She's the cheerful one, apparently. Although this fairy tailish story has very tragic moments. After watching Alice in Wonderland I see more and more similarities, too, also in the sibling's conflict. Although the final enemy is not a Jabberwocky but a VERY GAY MAN riding a Jabberwocky, right? Well, I'm at the end of CD2 and just left the Iifa tree. Someone has attacked Eiko's home full of Moogles.

Alice in Wonderland, the movie: very colorful, very pretty, awesome music that reminded me of Black Beauty and other animal-related pieces (well, Danny Elfman, what else?). Nice, crazy acting. But I think I would have enjoyed it much more as a kid. The message was cool and the parallelisms well done, but it's not a movie I'd rewatch. I don't know if the 3D is really necessary, but I think it's worth a watch in the big screen, definitely! And wasn't that one fateful scene Eowyn VS the Nazgûl's ride, revisited? I thought so, but Alice and the poem are older than LotR... Not so the movie...

RotK: I finished the book. AT LAST!! The part of Frodo and Sam crossing Mordor was so tender, exciting and engaging that I've read the second half of the book in three days. Expect random spam with excerpts. Threesomes and Orc bureaucracy FTW. I'll have to alternate those with Sensui's boys. I haven't forgotten, eh! I've had them all scanned for weeks, but this is what happens when you split your mind between too many worlds: dry, misty, colorful, over the top...

Laundry call, bye!
