I miss fandom!

Parenting and full time work is boring. I miss fandom!

I miss binge-watching, yelling at the TV, rewinding/rewinding/rewinding at the good parts, and then coming here and chatting about how amazing an episode or scene was.

I miss making icons, animations, and tweaking with video to make it just rightI wish I had the time to do the fun stuff ( Read more... )

There are a lot of us around, but have reverted to lurking, I think. I've recently gotten into Lucifer and Doctor Who (Eleven was my first Doctor). Still reading fanfic, as well. Just kinda floating along the top of fandom.

Love me some Doctor Who. Nine was my first but I fell in love with Ten. Liked Eleven/Amy/Rory but wasn't into it as much. Still, some great storylines in that show. Seen Sherlock? Also a great, smart show.

My husband and I are introducing the kids to Farscape. Just finished The Locket tonight. Oh how I miss the days of binge-watching that show and binge-vidding also!

I just recently watched all of Daredevil and I'm in quite a happy place with fandom. I miss fandom!

Ooohhh! I love Sherlock! I also watch Elementary. I haven't gotten into any fanfic from those series, though.

Great parenting! My nephew (he's 12 yrs old) asked me for YEARS for one of my DRD's. I finally gave him one. He wanted me to buy him one from ebay, but the Crichton action figure has been going for $72 and I can't afford it. He takes good care of his toys and recently showed me that he's still caring for the DRD. Sweet boy and my Godson.

You seem to find that hidden time to do fandom stuff. Wish you could teach me ( ... )

I try to do little fandom projects but not nearly as much as I'd like. Vidding has been hit the worse & it's probably the most rewarding for me personally, as it's can be a bit of struggle. I actually drew portraits for a convention this year (at short notice) for Agent Carter & Agents of SHIELD then I realized I hadn't done any since 2012 ( ... )

Do you mean Jessica Jones? I saw the first episode a couple of months ago but haven't seen any others. I didn't find it that appealing. It seemed kind of depressing. I do plan on getting through it though, just haven't done it yet.

Am so happy we'll get more Daredevil! I was hoping Comic Con would give us an update on that. I wonder when they'll be available to stream? It said 'soon' but I'm guessing next Spring. Not sure if they've had the panel yet but I'm hoping for more juicy details.

I have not been on LJ in literally forever so I'm just seeing this post now (Hi, hope you're doing well!) but yes I'm still in fandoms. Though I totally understand how sometimes real life just swallows up fandom time, it can be difficult. I'm mostly in Sherlock fandom lately, but I'm enjoying a lot of different shows while lurking around fandom spaces or just kind of enjoying them by myself. I don't know what you're into recently but I'm always up for talking about fannish things!
